Memorial Day Parade Schedule
On Monday, May 31st, Rocky Hill will celebrate Memorial Day as we remember all Americans who have sacrificed their lives in order to protect this great country we all share. As part of our local celebration, Rocky Hill has a Memorial Day Parade and all Rocky Hill Little League players and coaches are invited to participate and march in the parade. The town is confident that this can be done safely following the latest CDC guidelines.
The parade will begin at 9:30 on the 31st at Rocky Hill High School. We ask that all players and coaches who are marching arrive at the High School by 8:30 to meet your teams and get organized for the parade. All teams are required to have an adult representative, Manager, Assistant Coach, or Parent walking along the route with their players.
We ask that all players wear their team jerseys and sneakers (no cleats) or other comfortable footwear for marching.
The parade will end around 10:30 at the Town Green between CVS and the old Ames corporate offices at the intersection of Main St/Dividend Rd/Silas Dean Hwy. There are plans to have a Memorial Day Ceremony at the Town Green at the conclusion of the parade. Please plan to meet your team at this location to pick up your children at the end of the event.
See the following link for more details and a map of the parade route. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s coach. Hope to see everyone on the 31st!
This past Saturday, Rocky Hill Little League hosted Opening Day for the 2021 season. Thanks to our dedicated Parks and Rec department we were able to safely host the event at the Veteran's Memorial Amphitheater at Elm Ridge Park. It was our first time in this location, but perhaps the start of a new tradition. It felt great to be outside in the warm sun kicking off the baseball/softball season! Thank you to our Sponsors, Parents, and Kids for making Opening Day 2021 such a success!
